What is an NPC?

An NPC is a "non-player character." These are characters created by staff members for the player characters to interact with. These can range anywhere from an NPC that a volunteer was asked to walk in as so the person NPCing could partake in a meal, who simply says they're from a nearby settlement, like to eat pickles, and is named Suzy, to a plot entity that eats souls and is going to take the players years to face.

How much do I have to NPC

We do not require anyone to NPC. There are awads for NPCing though and it helps the game out quite a bit. Without NPCs, we can't run the game. However, we want NPCing to be flexible.

1) You can sign up to be an NPC for a whole event. If you do this, you don't have to pay for the event (just the $15 if you want to partake in the meal plan for the weekend).

2)You can sign up for one or more 5-hour shifts per event.

3) You can drop in any time and say "I'll NPC for a while" and stay for any amount of time you would like. Sometimes people just do an hour to get out of costume for a bit or take a break.

4)You can also double-hook, which means that you sign up for a plot and volunteer to be an NPC for another group, who will then be an NPC for your group to help keep the game moving.
